Esztergom is a pleasant Hungarian town situated on the Slovakia-Hungary border. Štúrovo is the town on the Slovak side of the border, which has an ethnic Hungarian majority.

On a small hill overlooking the town and the Danube is a Cathedral, which is the largest in Hungary, and the site at which the Hungarian king Vajk (Szent István) was baptised. The adjacent castle complex is also worth a look.

You can easily get here by bus or train from Budapest. Alternatively, you can take a train to Štúrovo which is on the main line between Budapest and Bratislava. From there, it's a 45 minute walk to the Danube.

"From arriving at the hotel I knew that I had chosen a great one! The location was great, within walking distances to most sites and close to metro or bus routes! The hotel was very clean and tidy, and the room was spotless. I was away for my birthday and the staff had noticed this and they had gone above and beyond by leaving me a card and a cake in my room for my arrival back to the hotel, this really made my stay. "

Very attentive and kind, more then happy to help you in every way. The room was spacious and well equiped for all our needs. The hot tub and sauna was class,very well kept and clean. Food onsite restaurant was unbelievable. Would highly recommend on your stay. Perfect location with all the sights of Budapest on your doorstop. We will be back to stay again 100%."
